Legends Unite: Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan Meet During Kalki 2 Filming

The much-awaited sequel to Kalki 2898 AD has officially gone on floors, and the excitement surrounding the project continues to build. After stylist Amritha Ram hinted at the development, Amitabh Bachchan himself confirmed that shooting for Kalki 2 has commenced.

Taking to his Tumblr account an online space he actively uses to connect with fans Big B shared that he has resumed filming for the sequel. The veteran actor also addressed fans who had gathered outside his Mumbai residence, Jalsa, hoping to catch a glimpse of him. Clarifying the situation, he revealed that he was in Hyderabad for the shoot and even posted pictures of the crowd waiting outside his home.

Adding to the excitement, Amitabh Bachchan shared that he met Kamal Haasan on the sets on Sunday. The two legends reunited during the shoot and fondly reminisced about their past collaboration in Geraftaar. He posted a couple of pictures from their meeting, delighting fans of both icons.

“Kalki 2 has begun work… and shall ever cherish the love and affection of anticipated presence on the Sunday… but hopefully shall be with all this coming Sunday,” he wrote, expressing gratitude to his admirers. Amitabh reprises his powerful role as Ashwatthama in the sequel and also shared BTS glimpses from his portions in the film.

The sequel, headlined by Prabhas, is being directed by Nag Ashwin and produced under the banner of Vyjayanthi Movies. Fans are now eagerly waiting for Prabhas to join the next schedule and for more thrilling updates from the makers.

With shooting officially underway and legendary actors coming together once again, Kalki 2 promises to be one of the most anticipated cinematic spectacles in the coming years.
