Distributor Bhattula Satyanarayana (Satish) has initiated legal proceedings against the release of the highly-anticipated film “Ooru Peru Bhairavakona.” This legal battle, unfolding in the Hyderabad City Civil Courts, has taken center stage in the film industry as both parties present their arguments today.
The accused in this legal skirmish is Advancers International, a leading production house led by prominent figures Anil Sunkara and GariKapati Kishore. The plaintiff, Satyanarayana (Satish), a renowned film distributor based in Visakhapatnam, alleges that he fell victim to deceptive practices by the producers. He claims that he was promised distribution rights for the film but was left empty-handed when the agreement was not honored. Satyanarayana asserts that he invested a substantial amount, anticipating distribution rights for five years across Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, and Karnataka, but was allegedly granted rights only for Visakhapatnam district.
Seeking an amicable resolution, Satyanarayana approached the producers with his grievances, but his efforts to resolve the matter out of court were reportedly in vain. Faced with what he perceives as a breach of trust, Satyanarayana opted to pursue legal action to protect his rights.
In a statement to the media, Satyanarayana claimed to have invested not only a significant sum but also to have been promised broader distribution rights. He alleges that he was misled and taken advantage of, prompting him to file a case in the Hyderabad City Civil Courts.
