Korean Kanakaraju is turning out to be a major comeback success for Mega Prince Varun Tej. The horror comedy, which opened to positive audience responses, has maintained strong momentum at the box office thanks to encouraging word of mouth.

According to the latest update, Korean Kanakaraju has crossed the Rs.35 crore worldwide gross mark in its opening weekend. The bigger achievement is that the film has reportedly recovered its breakeven target across all territories within just three days, marking a strong theatrical run.

The film is also witnessing solid bookings for Monday, indicating that the positive momentum has continued beyond the opening weekend. In the USA, Korean Kanakaraju is nearing the $500K mark and is now aiming for the $1 million milestone if the current trend continues.

For Varun Tej, the film marks a significant success after a considerable gap. The strong theatrical performance suggests that the horror-comedy genre and the film’s content have connected well with audiences.

Directed by Merlapaka Gandhi, Korean Kanakaraju stars Ritika Nayak as the female lead. The cast also includes Satya, Muralidhar Goud, Chinna, Srinivas Avasarala and others in key roles.
