Yash Raj Films’ streaming production arm, YRF Entertainment, is set to deliver its next major project, a gripping revenge thriller titled “Akka,” featuring a clash of talents between two highly acclaimed actresses, Keerthy Suresh and Radhika Apte. This intriguing period thriller is poised to be a clash of titans, showcasing the prowess of these two exceptionally gifted performers on the Indian stage.
According to insider information, Keerthy Suresh and Radhika Apte are regarded as two of the most natural and formidable female actors in India today. Both have consistently delivered outstanding performances, establishing themselves as forces to be reckoned with in the industry. The decision to cast them against each other in “Akka” adds a layer of excitement, making it one of the most compelling streaming projects currently in production in the country.
The series is under the creative guidance of debutant writer and director Dharmaraj Shetty, whose innovative vision caught the attention of Aditya Chopra. Their second venture, “Mandala Murders,” is a multi-season crime thriller featuring Vaani Kapoor in her streaming debut, along with Vaibhav Raj Gupta. With Surveen Chawla and Jameel Khan in prominent roles, the series is currently in production.
