Second half is very slow, making the nearly 3-hour runtime feel heavy.
Side characters like Ravindra Vijay and Gayathri are under-utilized.

Technicalities
Direction: Ambitious vision but the writing lacks tightness and urgency.
Music: Jakes Bejoy lifts a few key scenes but doesn’t create a lasting impact.
Cinematography: Dani Sanchez-Lopez delivers classy, vintage-styled visuals.
Editing: Slow pace remains a major drawback despite clean cuts.
Songs: Pleasant compositions but not memorable within the narrative flow.
Final Verdict
Kaantha is a performance-driven emotional crime-drama that works mainly because of its actors Dulquer, Samuthirakani, and Bhagyashree. The slow pacing, repetitive scenes, and stretched runtime prevent it from becoming the gripping thriller it aims to be.
Worth watching for the performances, but not ideal if you’re looking for a tight, fast-paced, edge-of-seat narrative.
