Jr NTR – Prashanth Neel Film Postponed to 2027; Glimpse Set for May 20

One of the most eagerly awaited pan-India projects featuring Jr NTR and directed by Prashanth Neel has officially been delayed. Initially scheduled for release on June 25, 2026, the film will now hit theatres on June 11, 2027.

The delay comes as a significant portion of the shoot is still pending, making the original timeline unfeasible. Putting all speculation to rest, Jr NTR himself confirmed the postponement through his social media platforms. With this shift, the film will take nearly four years from its announcement to reach audiences.

While the news may disappoint fans, the makers appear committed to delivering a high-quality cinematic experience rather than rushing the production. Offering a silver lining, Jr NTR also revealed that the film’s first glimpse will be unveiled on May 20, 2026, marking his birthday.

The newly released announcement poster has already sparked excitement, showcasing Jr NTR in a rugged, warrior-like avatar. With a muscular physique, thick beard, and intense expression, the look hints at a powerful, high-octane action spectacle.

Produced by Mythri Movie Makers and NTR Arts, the film features Rukmini Vasanth as the female lead, with music composed by Ravi Basrur. The project is currently being referred to as “Dragon.”
