India’s Midnight Missile Strike Destroys Nine Terror Camps in One Hour, Inside Operation Sindoor

By TeluguFunda / May 7, 2025

In a bold and high-impact military action, India launched Operation Sindoor in the early hours of Wednesday, May 7, 2025. This operation served as India’s direct retaliation to the brutal Pahalgam terror attack, where terrorists killed 26 civilians, including a Nepali tourist, on April 22. Mounting public outrage pushed the Indian government to act decisively, and this strike sent a chilling message to terror groups across the border.

Why India Launched Operation Sindoor

Terrorists targeted a busy tourist spot in Pahalgam and opened fire on civilians, triggering national anger and international condemnation. In response, Indian armed forces swiftly planned a precision operation to eliminate those behind the attack. The Ministry of Defence confirmed that Indian forces struck terrorist camps inside Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK).

Timing and Targets of the Strikes

Indian forces launched pinpoint missile strikes on nine key terrorist hideouts. These locations served as launchpads for the Pahalgam attack. Armed with solid intelligence, the Indian military executed the operation with high accuracy. They struck four sites inside Pakistan and five in PoJK. By choosing not to hit Pakistani military installations, India clearly demonstrated a restrained and focused approach.

Terror Groups and Camps Targeted

News agency PTI reported that Indian forces struck camps run by Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), and Hizbul Mujahideen (HM). The breakdown includes four JeM sites, three LeT camps, and two HM hideouts. These terror groups used the targeted camps to train militants, plan attacks, and launch operations against India.

Exact Locations Destroyed in Operation Sindoor

Indian forces hit the following terror hubs:

Markaz Subhan Allah in Bahawalpur (JeM)

Markaz Taiba in Muridke (LeT)

Sarjal, Tehra Kalan (JeM)

Mehmoona Joya in Sialkot (HM)

Markaz Ahle Hadith in Barnala (LeT)

Markaz Abbas in Kotli (JeM)

Maskar Raheel Shahid in Kotli (HM)

Shawai Nalla Camp in Muzaffarabad (LeT)

Syedna Bilal Camp in Muzaffarabad (JeM)

Each of these camps played a key role in the anti-India terror network. The Indian Air Force used precision airstrikes to eliminate the infrastructure and halt further attacks.

Pakistan’s Reaction and LoC Tensions

Soon after the strikes, Pakistan launched heavy shelling across multiple Line of Control (LoC) sectors. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif issued a warning, saying Pakistan would retaliate. As tensions rose, authorities shut down schools, colleges, and universities in Jammu, Samba, Kathua, Rajouri, and Poonch. Officials postponed university exams and suspended flights from Srinagar Airport. Several airlines canceled operations to districts in Jammu, Kashmir, and Punjab.

India’s Emergency Measures and National Readiness

To prepare for any fallout, the Ministry of Home Affairs activated civil defence mock drills across 244 districts nationwide. The Indian Army stressed that they conducted the strikes in a measured, focused, and non-escalatory manner. They clearly stated that their sole intention was to target terror groups, not Pakistan’s military.

What Lies Ahead

Operation Sindoor shows that India has drawn a hard line. This mission stands out as one of the strongest and most focused military actions against terrorism in recent years. With the LoC heating up and diplomatic pressure building, both India and Pakistan now face a crucial moment. The world watches closely as the region braces for what comes next.
