The Indian film fraternity is set to witness a landmark celebration as the Indian National Cine Academy (INCA) announces the inaugural edition of the Kalyan Jewellers INCA Awards. The prestigious event will take place in Mumbai on April 15 and 16, 2026, marking the first time that 12 Indian film industries will come together on a single national platform.
Conceived as a unified academy, INCA aims to celebrate excellence in Indian cinema across languages and regions. Moving beyond fragmented, industry-specific awards, the platform seeks to recognise the collective strength, scale, and diversity of Indian storytelling under one roof.
The academy is promoted by Vishnu Vardhan Induri, the visionary behind successful properties like the Celebrity Cricket League and SIIMA. Adding further credibility, the Producers Guild of India serves as the Chief Patron for the awards. Renowned jewellery brand Kalyan Jewellers has come on board as the Presenting Sponsor for the first edition.
Awards will be presented for Best Film, Best Actor, and Best Actress across 12 languages Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Bengali, Bhojpuri, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Assamese, and Gujarati. In addition, All-India honours will recognise excellence in direction, music, technical crafts, performances, and debut talents.
Filmmakers whose projects were released between January 1 and December 31, 2025, are eligible to submit entries online before March 1.
With the launch of INCA, Indian cinema takes a significant step toward celebrating its creative talent collectively as one united and dynamic film community.
