Gaddar Telangana Film Awards 2024: Kalki 2898 AD Dominates, Complete Winners List

On May 29, 2025, the organizers officially announced the first edition of the Gaddar Telangana Film Awards. Named after the revolutionary poet Gaddar, the state brought back these prestigious awards after a 14-year gap to honour excellence in Telugu cinema. Organizers will present the awards at a grand ceremony on June 14 at the HICC in Hyderabad.

Kalki 2898 AD Bags Best Feature Film and Multiple Technical Awards

Nag Ashwin’s sci-fi spectacle Kalki 2898 AD swept the awards. The jury named it Best Feature Film and also honoured the movie with awards for Best Director, Best Art Director, and Best Costume Design. The film, featuring Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, and Kamal Haasan, earned praise for its storytelling and scale.

Allu Arjun and Nivetha Thomas Win Best Actor Awards

Allu Arjun won Best Actor for his performance in Pushpa 2: The Rule. Nivetha Thomas secured the Best Actress award for her emotional role in 35 Chinna Katha Kadu. The film also won Best Children’s Film, proving its widespread appeal.

Pottel and Lucky Bhaskar Win Second and Third Best Feature Film Awards

The jury awarded Pottel, starring Ananya Nagalla, the Second Best Feature Film, while Lucky Bhaskar, starring Dulquer Salmaan, won the Third Best Feature Film.

Committee Kurrollu Shines with Social Message and Debut Director Win

The film Committee Kurrollu impressed the jury with its powerful message on communal harmony. It won Best Feature Film on Integration, Communal Harmony and Social Uplift. Yadhu Vamsi, who directed the movie, won Best Debut Director.

Razakar and Aay… Mem Friends Andi Win Thematic and Entertainment Awards

Razakar took home Best Feature Film on History, Heritage, and Environment. The feel-good movie Aay… Mem Friends Andi won Best Wholesome Entertainment Film.

SJ Suryah and Saranya Pradeep Win Best Supporting Roles

SJ Suryah received the Best Supporting Actor award for Saripodhaa Sanivaaram, and Saranya Pradeep won Best Supporting Actress for Ambajipeta Marriage Band.

Bheems Ceciroleo, Sid Sriram, and Shreya Ghoshal Recognized for Musical Excellence

Bheems Ceciroleo won Best Music Director for Razakar. The jury honoured Sid Sriram (for Ooru Peru Bhairavakona) and Shreya Ghoshal (for Pushpa 2) as Best Playback Singers.
