The 2021 blockbuster Akhanda, starring Nandamuri Balakrishna, stood out not only for its powerful performances and mass appeal but also for Thaman S’s electrifying background score, which elevated every action sequence to a new high. Now, expectations are soaring as the music composer returns for the much-awaited sequel, Akhanda 2: Thaandavam.
Set for release in the first week of December, Akhanda 2 marks the fourth collaboration between Balakrishna and director Boyapati Sreenu, a duo known for their successful mass entertainers.
Thaman has reportedly completed the background score for the first half of the film and revealed in recent interviews that the sequel’s music will deliver an even more intense and divine experience. Adding to the grandeur, the renowned Pandit duo Shravan Mishra and Atul Mishra have come on board to lend their voices for the Vedic chants and shlokas that will be part of the BGM.
The makers officially announced this exciting collaboration on Sunday, emphasizing Thaman’s commitment to making the film’s soundtrack truly special.
Featuring Nandamuri Balakrishna, Samyukta Menon, and Aadi Pinisetty in pivotal roles, Akhanda 2 is written and directed by Boyapati Sreenu and produced by Raam Achanta and Gopi Achanta under the 14 Reels Plus banner, with M. Tejaswini Nandamuri presenting the film.
With Thaman’s high-octane music and the spiritual depth added by the Pandit duo, Akhanda 2 promises to be a divine mass spectacle that fans won’t want to miss.
