Renowned singer and dubbing artist Chinmayi Sripaada, known for lending her voice to many leading heroines in South Indian cinema, has once again made headlines this time for standing up against online abuse targeting her family.

Chinmayi has always been outspoken on social issues, especially those concerning women and children. Whenever she notices injustice or harassment, she never hesitates to voice her opinion on social media, often giving a strong “left and right” reply to offenders. However, her fearless attitude has also made her a frequent target of trolls. While she has faced criticism before, this time the trolling crossed a line her children were dragged into the abuse, prompting her to take legal action.

Distressed by the vile remarks, Chinmayi approached Telangana DGP (Women’s Safety Wing) VC Sajjanar, requesting strict action against the accused. She stated firmly that she is ready to fight this battle for as long as it takes “even if the case runs for 15 years.”

Currently, while her husband Rahul Ravindran is busy promoting his upcoming directorial The Girlfriend, Chinmayi has been dealing with a fresh wave of online harassment. Certain individuals on social media have reportedly used abusive and vulgar language against her. Matters worsened when the trolls began making disgusting comments about her children, which deeply upset the singer.

Sharing her pain publicly, Chinmayi said:

“Once, when I spoke the truth, the Tamil film industry banned me for seven years. Back then, people insulted me — but no one ever spoke ill about my children. But now, in Telangana, someone commented that if a woman like me has children, they should die. I will never forget or forgive this person. I will not let this matter go.”

She tagged VC Sajjanar on social media, attaching the abusive messages, videos, and user details. She made it clear that she is prepared to fight legally until justice is served.

Responding swiftly, VC Sajjanar assured Chinmayi that immediate action would be taken. He instructed officials to track down and arrest the accused at the earliest. His prompt response has been widely appreciated online.

As the case gains traction, social media is buzzing with support for Chinmayi, with many praising her courage to speak out against cyberbullying and online harassment. Her stand has once again reignited the conversation on the urgent need for stronger laws to protect individuals especially women from digital abuse.
