Dhanush Confirms Reunion With Venky Atluri, But Timeline Uncertain

After delivering a solid hit with Sir (Vaathi), the successful combination of Dhanush and Venky Atluri is officially set to reunite. The actor himself confirmed the collaboration during a recent pre-release event, sparking excitement among fans.

Speaking at the event, Dhanush revealed that Venky had narrated a story to him quite some time ago but didn’t follow up afterward. The actor added that he has now asked the director to revisit that same script, expressing his willingness to move forward with the project.

However, despite the confirmation, the film may take time to materialize. Venky Atluri is currently occupied with multiple commitments, including his upcoming film Viswanath & Sons starring Suriya, followed by a Netflix series featuring Siddhu Jonnalagadda.

There were earlier reports that the Dhanush–Venky project could be backed by Sithara Entertainments, with the tentative title Honest Raj. Additionally, Venky was also rumored to be planning a film with Nani, further adding to his packed schedule.

Given these commitments, Venky’s availability remains the key factor. Even though Dhanush is ready to collaborate again, it may take a while before the project officially goes on floors.

For now, while the reunion is confirmed, fans may need to wait a bit longer to see this hit combo back in action.
