Roshan Kanakala’s debut film ‘Bubblegum’ is directed by talented director Ravikant Perepu. Manasa Chaudhary is playing the heroine. Already the teaser, trailer and songs of this movie have created a huge buzz with tremendous response. The movie is being produced by Maheshwari Movies in association with People Media Factory and will release on December 29. In this context, music director Shri Charan shared the features of the film in a press conference.
You have mostly done thrillers.. How did it feel to do a new age love story like Bubblegum?
I enjoyed it a lot. In fact, I like to do films with such love stories, mass, comedy and humor. I also said in the pre-release event that ‘I have given so far.. I will try to reinvent myself from now on.’ It started with bubblegum.
Isn’t the hero a DJ in this.. Did you do special exercises for such music?
I have listened to a lot of electronic music since childhood. I am a guitarist. Almost all my friends are DJs. Electronic music itself has many layers. They have been observed since childhood. But now there is a chance to give such music in the film. Music has been done according to the character.
Elevating lyrics in electronic music is a challenging task, isn’t it?
True. We have taken all care to make the lyrics appealing. I believe lyrics are more important than tune. Ravikant Singer too. In this he wrote the song Easy PG himself, and in a moment he also got an international award for the song he wrote. He can get music. We have taken a lot of care in every matter.
About your association with director Ravikant?
Knew Ravikant from school days. I composed music for his short films. When he did the moment, he knew more about his talent. The movie was a big success. Also, the second movie Krishna and Leela that came out in our combination was also a good success. Although the movie was released in OTT, the music was very popular. Now ‘Bubblegum’ also has amazing music.
How is Roshan Kanakala’s working style?
Roshan is very dedicated, humble. He has a lot of talent. Good actor and dancer too. He expressed the emotions very well. The way he dubbed is also amazing.
He has made many successful films.. How will he enjoy this success?
I will be happy. There is no time to enjoy. It is in our hands to work but I am of the mindset that we should not care about success or failure.
Have you seen bubblegum…how did you feel?
Liked it a lot. The others who have seen it so far have also liked it very much. In terms of music, they enjoyed the interval bang, climax and songs a lot. Especially Roshan was impressed with his extraordinary performance.
