The most awaited movie ‘Bhagwant Kesari’ is being made under the banner of the famous production company Shine Screens under the direction of successful director Anil Ravipudi with God of Masses Nandamuri Balakrishna as the hero. Kajal Aggarwal is playing the heroine while Srileela is playing the pivotal role. The teaser, songs, trailer and promotional content of the already released film have created huge buzz. Bhagwant Kesari will be released on October 19 as a gift for Dussehra, fight master Venkat, who gave action choreography for this film, shared the special features of ‘Bhagwant Kesari’ in a press conference?
Composing action for Balakrishna’s films is not a common thing. How did you prepare for ‘Bhagwant Kesari’ action?
When director Anil Ravipudi started writing this story, he wanted to show Balakrishna in a new way. Even when I was told, it should be different from the previous films. He has a strong desire to show Balakrishna in a new way. Bhagwant Kesari has one style action in the first half and another style action in the second half. Keeping Balakrishna’s speed, the action was designed very naturally in Hollywood style. Anil Ravipudi strongly believed in this natural style. We also adapted it and tried a new style of action this time with Balakrishna. It is believed that the audience will like it. Balayya Babu’s difficulty is seen in the action scenes. No more cuts are planned in this. We reduced the slow motion shots. We have done the same as if he does action in 24 frames.
Every movie of Balakrishna has a special weapon. Whose idea was this weapon?
Directed by Anil. When the story and character are written, it is about that weapon. He works in a factory. A very wonderful set for this. A weapon is made from what is there. That episode was terrific. In this, the sequence that comes before the interval is in the next level.
Did the experience of doing films with Balakrishna in the past help you?
Definitely Andy. I did Paisa Vasool and Veerasimha Reddy with Balakrishna. Got a grip on his body language. He got an understanding of what kind of action sequences are good. We could understand his speed. All of them are a plus for Bhagwant Kesari. The editing pattern is also new in Bhagwant Kesari Action. The action sequences are crisp and impactful at the same time.
Has intense action happened with any other actors?
There is an intense climax sequence with Arjun Rampal. The action scene between Balakrishna and Arjun Ram Pal will be a tug of war. Beating Balakrishna in an action sequence is not an ordinary thing. But in this first Arjun Rampal will take over. Balakrishna used to hit the fighters directly. This tug of war makes the fight perfectly balanced.
What encouragement did you get from the producers of Shine Screens?
Harish garu and Sahu garu have full faith in us. No compromise anywhere. Set for each action. It has seven amazing sets. There are about eight action sequences. Everything turned out great. Producers have provided what they need. The movie was made in a very grand manner.
What precautions do star heroes take while doing action sequences?
When we think of an action sequence we think both positive and negative. Let’s see if the hero can do it or not. Also we will examine every moment. If we tie a rope, we will ensure that its loading is under our control beforehand. Our caring is from the moment the coconut is beaten until the shooting is completed on the last day.
When there are eight fight scenes in a movie.. what kind of exercises are done to show each scene anew?
It is actually very stressful. There is no action sequence that Balakrishna did not do. He did all the moments. Presenting them anew is challenging. Not taking care of it, his body language, story, situation and location were presented in a new way.
Which of these eight fights do you think is the best?
Everything is fine with me. But when they go near the audience, they have a best one. Whatever the audience is best is my best (laughs).
New films?
Naa Samiranga, Gangs of Godavari and also Gopichand garu Harsha gari film.
All the best
thanks
