‘Animal’ is a character based movie: Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga

Ranbir Kapoor starrer Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s highly awaited wild action entertainer ‘Animal’ has created a sensation with its promotional content. The trailer released just like this has increased the expectations of the movie. In ‘Animal’, Rashmika Mandanna will play the female lead opposite Ranbir Kapoor. Anil Kapoor and Bobby Deol are playing other key roles. The film is produced by Bhushan Kumar & Krishan Kumar T-Series, Pranay Reddy Vanga Bhadrakali Pictures. The film is going to have a grand release on December 1 in 5 languages ​​Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam. In this context, director Sandeep Reddy Vanga shared the features of the film in a press conference.

In your debut film Arjun Reddy, a girl-boy love story appeared. Looking at the Animal trailer, it seems like a father-son love story.

Yes. In a way it can be considered as a love story between father and son. The primary story is the same. The essence of the story is how far a man will go for his family.

Arjun Reddy’s character has a lot of anger. Those shades are also seen in Ranbir’s character in Animal. Does Arjun Reddy have similarities to Animal in terms of characters?

Both are very honest people (laughs). That is the common factor. Arjun Reddy is a character who cannot control his anger. Animal’s character usually has the same anger that all people have. Arjun Reddy, Animal.. both these are character based movies. It can be said as a similarity. Apart from this, the story and character are completely different.

What is the reason for designing the hero character in your films with intense emotion?

When it comes to Arjun Reddy, he is a very honest character when it comes to love. Naturally, there is an intense emotion when love is lost. When he essays the role of a son who would do anything for his father in Animal, his emotional quotient is naturally high. Only those who are emotionally high can do that. That’s not what she did on purpose.

The trailer shows a lot of emotion. But does violence dominate that emotion? Which one has more emotion and violence?

I think I have balanced all the emotion and violence properly (laughs) You have to see and tell.

You said on one occasion that ‘will you show me how the violence will be in the film after me’ has become very viral, isn’t it?

Tell you about it (laughs). Arjun Reddy is unanimously liked by everyone in our Telugu. It was praised by almost all the critics. When the same movie was made in Hindi, everyone liked it. But some critics said that there was too much violence in it. I think our sensibilities are different from theirs. At that time, in an interview, he said, ‘Your next film should not have so much violence’..Doesn’t violence seem like a normal college love story?..I said, ‘I will show you what violence is in my next film’. . It went viral. (Laughs)

In Arjun Reddy, the role of the heroine is very important. And what is the importance of Rashmika’s role in Animal in the story?

Rashmika has a very important role. Throughout the film. Not regular but very different. A character who understands the hero more than his parents. After the hero, Rashmika and Anil Kapoor’s roles are equally important. It also has a good love story.

Animal’s run time is about three hours and twenty minutes, isn’t it..can it be negative?

Nope. Arjun Reddy is a three hour and six minute movie. It is a story of a girl and a boy. In Animal there are layers like a family and rivals. Just fifteen minutes more than Arjun Reddy. It is believed that they will sit comfortably in the AC for another ten minutes and enjoy the movie.

How did it feel to work with the biggest star like Ranbir Kapoor?

Ranbir Kapoor is a man with a great personality. He never showed the feeling of being a big star and having the experience of so many films. I told him the story. Liked it. After talking about the movie about the story, there was no other discussion. Like when I worked for Arjun Reddy in my first film with Vijay, I felt the same when I worked with Ranbir. There is no need to say anything special about Ranbir Kapoor’s performance. He is the best actor in the country.

The reason for naming this movie ‘Animal’?

We got education and intelligence and we are called human being. But man is a social animal. We have increased IQ, increased communication, are first in the food chain and wear clothes. But it is my personal feeling that they are not animals. I used to feel like that since I studied Social Studies as a child. But what I thought was.. Animals don’t have IQ. Acts with his instinct. In this the hero’s character also behaves instinctively. This name was given because the title ‘Animal’ is good for a story related to such a character.

How are the roles of Anil Kapoor and Bobby Deol in this?

Anil Kapoor is playing a pivotal role in the story of Animal. His cause is what drives him. Bobby Deol will be seen as the villain. Don’t reveal too much about those characters. You have to see it on the screen.

Does Animal seem to have a strong revenge angle?

Yes. Continuing Revenge is no ordinary energy. Revenge seems to have more energy than love. Revenge achieved? That journey is more difficult to grasp than the word or. As you can see, there is a strong revenge in war films too. Even while writing Animal, revenge felt like a bigger emotion than love.

Animal songs were done with different composers.. How was that experience? About Harsha Varshan Rameshwar background music?

I give a lot of priority to sound and music in my film. It has become difficult to go with a solo composer in Mumbai. But when the Kabir Singh movie came out, I got used to it a bit. If you go with different composers, you have to narrate the story to everyone. Special effort should be taken for that. Effort should also be made to balance all the music as an album. There is an understanding of it so it works out for me. Background music was composed by Harsha Varshan Rameshwar. We have a good sync. He did very well.

Your elder brother is also a producer for ‘Animal’.. What about this?

From the beginning it was my brother who criticized me creatively. Arjun Reddy was produced by him. If we are in production, we have creative control. I worked with Bhushan for Kabir Singh. He also gives a lot of freedom creatively.

The reason for making the animal film editor?

I will do the editing. Love the editing. It is indeed a very difficult task. But I feel that no one understands my film more than me. But if there are those who do better, they will definitely give. If so, I will have a lot of time. (Laughs)

After two big successes like Arjun Reddy and Kabir Singh, there are a lot of expectations on Animal.. What precautions have been taken in this regard?

I really take such pressure. Thinking instinctively. Focus on giving good output but stress on other things.

About animal lyrics, action choreography?

Lyrics written by Anantha Sriram Single Card. The lyrics are apt for the Telugu Nativity and received good compliments. The songs and relics got a very good response.

 The action was done by Supreme Sundar. He is a very soft person. The action was wild.

Who dubbed the hero’s role in Telugu?

Vasu garu dubbed the hero’s role in Telugu. Very well said. The emotion has been carried well. Rashmika dubbed herself in Telugu, Kannada and Hindi.

How did it feel to meet Balayya in the Unstoppable show?

I was shocked to see the unstoppable show. Hats off to whoever designed this program. Because there is an image that Balayya Babu is serious. But after watching that show, he seemed to be having so much fun. Ranbir Kapoor was mesmerized by Balakrishna’s Mughal-e-Azam dialogues. It is Ranbir Kapoor’s great grandfather movie. Even Ranbir doesn’t remember the dialogues in it. Hearing Balakrishna’s dialogues, I fell into thought. I was shocked at how much memory there is. These are not ordinary dialogues. Became a fan of Balakrishna. Not in Telugu, even in the North, no one remembers the dialogues. Actors who are new to auditions also do not speak those dialogues. Because they are very difficult.

Is the next film you are going to do with Prabhas?

Yes, the preproduction work will start from June, in this gap the treatment dialogues should be worked on.

After Prabhas and Allu Arjun, have you narrated stories to anyone else?

I told a story to Mahesh Babu. He liked it. But did not go ahead due to other commitments. Mahesh Babu, Ram Charan. I want to do movies with everyone.
