Veteran film producer AM Rathnam met Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Anumula in Hyderabad to request a ticket price hike and special shows for his upcoming historical film, Hari Hara Veera Mallu. This meeting followed false reports in the media that claimed Rathnam had been hospitalized due to serious health issues. His brother A. Dayakar Rao clarified that Rathnam remained completely healthy. A viral photo of Rathnam with CM Revanth Reddy, where he draped a shawl over the CM, further confirmed his good health and positive spirit.

Ticket Price Hike Request for Grand Release

During the meeting, Rathnam directly asked the government to approve increased ticket prices and additional shows for Hari Hara Veera Mallu, especially during the opening weekend. He explained to CM Revanth that the film involved a massive budget and detailed period setup based in the 17th century. He emphasized that the film differed from regular commercial movies and needed special pricing to recover the high production costs.

Sources confirmed that the government responded positively to the discussion. Although CM Revanth Reddy’s administration usually handles price hikes with caution, especially after the Pushpa 2 pricing controversy, they have remained open to exceptions for high-budget cultural or historical films.

Team Approaches Andhra Pradesh Government Too

Alongside efforts in Telangana, the film’s team submitted a formal request to the Andhra Pradesh government through the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce. They are currently holding discussions with state officials to gain similar support for the film’s release. The makers want to create a smooth and successful theatrical experience in both Telugu-speaking states.

Rathnam’s Health Rumors and Final Release Plans

Earlier in the day, certain media outlets spread false rumors about Rathnam fainting and being admitted to a hospital. His family and team quickly denied these claims and urged the press to avoid irresponsible reporting. Instead of being ill, Rathnam actively met the CM and promoted his film.

Director Krish Jagarlamudi, along with co-director AM Jyothi Krishna, has crafted Hari Hara Veera Mallu as a grand 17th-century action epic. Pawan Kalyan plays the lead role of a heroic warrior assigned to steal the Kohinoor diamond during the Mughal rule. The film also stars Bobby Deol, Nidhi Agerwal, Nargis Fakhri, and Nora Fatehi, with music by M M. Keeravani. The production team has completed the film, and they will release it worldwide on June 12.

AM Rathnam’s meeting with CM Revanth Anumula shows his determination to ensure a strong theatrical release and financial success for this large-scale Telugu film.
