Actor Allu Arjun visited KIMS Hospital in Hyderabad’s Begumpet to meet Sri Teja, a young boy injured during the Sandhya Theatre stampede. The unfortunate event took place on December 4, 2024, during the premiere of Allu Arjun’s film Pushpa 2: The Rule. The child is undergoing treatment for serious injuries sustained in the chaos.
Arjun’s Visit and Hospital Security
Arjun was seen entering the hospital wearing a green sweater and black pants, accompanied by his team. Several photos and videos of the visit have surfaced online. Telangana State Film Development Corporation Chairman, Dil Raju, attended the visit as well.
Hospital security was tightened for the actor’s visit. Earlier, on January 5, Arjun’s scheduled visit was canceled after the Ramgopalpet Police Station SHO advised keeping the visit confidential to maintain public order. Police later arranged necessary security for his visit.
Allu Arjun’s Concern for the Child
Arjun expressed deep concern for Sri Teja, who had been unresponsive for 20 days after the incident. By December 24, 2024, there were positive signs as the child responded for the first time. Arjun shared his wishes for the boy’s recovery and promised to meet him and his family.
Sri Teja’s father, Bhaskar, thanked both the actor and the Telangana government for their support. “The child has shown progress. Allu Arjun’s care means a lot,” Bhaskar said.
Details of the Sandhya Theatre Stampede
The stampede happened as fans rushed to see Allu Arjun during Pushpa 2 promotions. Tragically, a woman named Revathi lost her life, and her eight-year-old son, Sri Teja, was seriously injured.
A case was filed against Allu Arjun, his security team, and the theatre management. The charges were based on a complaint by the deceased woman’s family under multiple sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
Arjun was arrested on December 13 but was granted interim bail by the Telangana High Court the next day. On January 3, a city court approved his regular bail. He remains Accused No. 11 in the case.
