The flight carried 242 people, including passengers and crew members. Among them, 169 were Indian nationals, 53 were British nationals, 7 were Portuguese, and 1 was Canadian. Government Responds Swiftly

Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu has taken direct control of the situation. He ordered all aviation and emergency agencies to respond swiftly and work in coordination. Because the flight had 53 British citizens, the UK Embassy in India issued an official statement. They said they are already coordinating with Indian authorities to gather facts and offer support to affected citizens.
