Ram Charan and Sukumar’s much-awaited collaboration is moving closer to its launch, with producer Ravi Shankar revealing when the film’s pooja ceremony is likely to take place.
At the teaser launch event of Mouli’s Donga Naa Koduku, Mythri Movie Makers producer Ravi Shankar found himself answering an unexpected question about Ram Charan’s upcoming film with director Sukumar, tentatively titled RC17.
During the event, Mouli asked the producer to share an update on the highly anticipated project. Responding to the question, Ravi Shankar revealed that the film’s launch ceremony, initially planned for the Dussehra festive season, had to be postponed due to the lack of an auspicious date.
“The pooja ceremony was supposed to have happened during Dussehra, but there wasn’t any auspicious date to kick off the journey. The pooja event will happen either on October 26 or 27,” Ravi Shankar said, adding a touch of humour to his response.
With the producer indicating October 26 or 27 as the likely dates for the launch ceremony, excitement surrounding the Ram Charan–Sukumar project is growing. However, the final date is yet to be officially confirmed.
The combination of Ram Charan and Sukumar has naturally generated considerable interest among moviegoers. Their previous collaboration, Rangasthalam, emerged as a major success and remains one of the most celebrated films in both their careers. Expectations are high for their reunion, with fans eager to see what the filmmaker has planned this time.
Meanwhile, reports suggest that Sara Arjun and Aneet Padda are being considered for the female lead roles in RC17. However, the makers have not officially confirmed the casting details.
