Natural Star Nani’s The Paradise has arrived on Netflix following a polarising theatrical run. Directed by Srikanth Odela, the period action drama features Kayadu Lohar as the female lead. While the film received mixed reactions from audiences, its OTT release has now grabbed attention for several changes made to the original theatrical version.

The Paradise OTT Version: What Has Changed?

Several viewers have noticed a difference in the runtime of The Paradise on Netflix. The OTT version reportedly features a few edits, along with improvements to certain technical aspects of the film.

One of the most noticeable changes involves the much-trolled song “Dhumavathi”. The song has been trimmed in the streaming version. Additionally, a few scenes featuring Nani’s mother and certain portions involving Nani have been removed from the film.

End Credits and Graphics Get an Upgrade

Apart from the cuts, the makers have also made changes to the end credits. In the theatrical version, the credits rolled very quickly, but they have now been slowed down in the Netflix version.

The graphics in select portions have also been enhanced, reportedly to provide viewers with a better visual experience while watching the film on OTT platforms.

Will The Paradise Find Better Reception on Netflix?

The changes have sparked fresh interest in The Paradise, especially among viewers curious to see how the revised version differs from the theatrical cut. Whether trimming certain scenes and improving the visuals will help the film connect better with audiences remains to be seen.

With its Netflix release bringing the film to a wider audience, all eyes are now on how The Paradise performs on the streaming platform and whether the revised cut can win over viewers who were not entirely satisfied with its theatrical version.

Superstar Rajinikanth’s box-office dominance continues with Jailer 2 delivering a phenomenal performance at the worldwide box office. The Nelson Dilipkumar directorial has grossed an impressive Rs 575 crore in its first week, bringing it within touching distance of the prestigious Rs 600 crore milestone.

What makes this achievement interesting is that the sequel managed to post huge numbers without an aggressive promotional campaign or chartbuster songs generating massive pre-release hype. Despite modest advance bookings, the film opened strongly and maintained its momentum across major markets.

Jailer 2 Crosses Rs 500 Crore Mark in Style

Jailer 2 has reportedly collected Rs 370 crore from India in its first seven days, while overseas markets contributed approximately Rs 205 crore. The combined worldwide gross stands at Rs 575 crore, underlining the film’s strong appeal among audiences across different territories.

The film’s performance is particularly noteworthy given the mixed response it received after its theatrical release. Nevertheless, the audience turnout has remained encouraging, allowing the Rajinikanth-starrer to register impressive numbers during its opening week.

Telugu States Deliver a Major Boost

Rajinikanth’s popularity in Telugu states has once again translated into strong box-office numbers. The Telugu version of Jailer 2 has reportedly grossed nearly Rs 68 crore across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

The collection is approaching the regional lifetime gross of Coolie, Rajinikanth’s previous film, highlighting the sequel’s impressive performance in the Telugu market. With more theatrical business expected, the film could further improve its overall numbers.

Rajinikanth Closes in on Another Rs 600 Crore Film

At 75, Rajinikanth continues to prove that his star power remains a major force at the box office. With Jailer 2 already earning Rs 575 crore worldwide, the superstar is on the verge of adding another Rs 600 crore grosser to his filmography.

If the film maintains its current momentum, it could reach the milestone in the coming days. The achievement would further strengthen Rajinikanth’s position among Indian cinema’s most commercially successful stars.

Mixed Talk, Massive Collections

Although Jailer 2 has emerged as a box-office winner, its critical reception has been divided. Several viewers felt that the second half was less engaging than the entertaining first half. However, the mixed talk has not prevented the film from attracting audiences in significant numbers.

The film’s strong theatrical run has also reportedly affected Vijay Deverakonda’s Ranabaali at the box office. For now, the spotlight remains firmly on Rajinikanth, as Jailer 2 races towards the Rs 600 crore mark after an extraordinary first week.

Ram Charan and Sukumar’s much-awaited collaboration is moving closer to its launch, with producer Ravi Shankar revealing when the film’s pooja ceremony is likely to take place.

At the teaser launch event of Mouli’s Donga Naa Koduku, Mythri Movie Makers producer Ravi Shankar found himself answering an unexpected question about Ram Charan’s upcoming film with director Sukumar, tentatively titled RC17.

During the event, Mouli asked the producer to share an update on the highly anticipated project. Responding to the question, Ravi Shankar revealed that the film’s launch ceremony, initially planned for the Dussehra festive season, had to be postponed due to the lack of an auspicious date.

“The pooja ceremony was supposed to have happened during Dussehra, but there wasn’t any auspicious date to kick off the journey. The pooja event will happen either on October 26 or 27,” Ravi Shankar said, adding a touch of humour to his response.

With the producer indicating October 26 or 27 as the likely dates for the launch ceremony, excitement surrounding the Ram Charan–Sukumar project is growing. However, the final date is yet to be officially confirmed.

The combination of Ram Charan and Sukumar has naturally generated considerable interest among moviegoers. Their previous collaboration, Rangasthalam, emerged as a major success and remains one of the most celebrated films in both their careers. Expectations are high for their reunion, with fans eager to see what the filmmaker has planned this time.

Meanwhile, reports suggest that Sara Arjun and Aneet Padda are being considered for the female lead roles in RC17. However, the makers have not officially confirmed the casting details.

With the launch ceremony reportedly approaching, fans are now waiting for an official announcement from the team. More details about the cast, technical crew and production schedule are expected to emerge as the project moves forward.

The State Bank of India (SBI) is investigating a suspected data leak after personal information linked to 3,897 customers was identified in a dataset found on the dark web. The incident has raised concerns about potential cyber fraud and the misuse of customer details.

In a stock exchange filing dated October 21, SBI stated that its preliminary examination of around 3.75 lakh records available on the dark web identified 3,897 records containing personally identifiable information.

The exposed information reportedly includes customers’ names, gender, registered mobile numbers, dates of birth, email addresses and residential addresses. The records also contain branch details, Customer Information File (CIF) identifiers and metadata related to loan applications and leads.

SBI said it received alerts about the suspected exposure on October 16 from its threat intelligence service provider, the Defence Cyber Agency and CERT-In. The bank has activated its cyber incident response procedures and appointed an independent cybersecurity agency to investigate the matter.

The bank also clarified that the incident has had no material impact on its business operations, financial performance or business continuity. Its core banking services continue to function normally.

SBI Data Leak: Are Your Bank Accounts at Risk?

The suspected data leak does not automatically mean that customers’ bank accounts have been hacked or that money has been stolen. The preliminary findings concern personal information and loan-related records, and there is no confirmation that account passwords, PINs or transaction credentials have been compromised.

However, cybercriminals could misuse the exposed information to carry out targeted phishing attacks and banking scams. Fraudsters may impersonate bank officials and use genuine customer details to make their calls or messages appear trustworthy.

Customers should remember that knowing their name, mobile number or loan details does not prove that a caller represents SBI.

How Could the Leaked Data Be Misused?

Personal information can be exposed through various systems, including loan processing platforms, employee email accounts, shared storage systems and third-party service providers.

Possible exposure routes include compromised employee or vendor credentials, phishing attacks, information-stealing malware and incorrectly configured storage systems or application programming interfaces (APIs).

However, the exact source of the suspected SBI data leak has not yet been established. Investigators must determine whether the information originated from the bank’s systems, a third-party service provider or another source.

SBI Data Leak: 6 Safety Measures Every Customer Should Follow

SBI account holders should take the following precautions to reduce the risk of financial fraud:

Never share OTPs, PINs or passwords: Never disclose these confidential credentials to an unsolicited caller, even if they claim to represent SBI.

Monitor bank transactions: Keep SMS and email alerts enabled and report unfamiliar transactions immediately.

Avoid suspicious links: Access SBI services through its official website, mobile application or verified customer support channels.

Check your credit report: Look for unfamiliar loans, credit cards or credit enquiries that you did not authorise.

Secure Aadhaar biometrics: Consider locking biometric authentication through UIDAI’s official channels if you do not need to use it.

Report suspected fraud quickly: Contact SBI through official channels and call India’s cybercrime helpline at 1930 or report the incident at cybercrime.gov.in.

Customers should never transfer money, install unknown applications or share confidential information because someone claims their bank account is in danger.

What Is SBI Doing About the Data Leak?

SBI has initiated an investigation to establish the authenticity, source and extent of the exposed information. The bank is also expected to identify any vulnerabilities and take appropriate remedial and preventive measures based on the findings.

The response should include identifying affected customers, securing potentially compromised systems, reviewing third-party access and strengthening fraud monitoring to detect attempts to misuse customer information.

SBI Data Leak: What Customers Should Know

The investigation into the suspected exposure is ongoing, and the full extent of the incident remains unclear. While SBI has confirmed that its core business operations continue normally, customers should remain vigilant against suspicious calls, messages and emails.

The key takeaway: Do not panic or assume your account has been hacked. Protect your banking credentials, verify unexpected requests independently and report any suspected fraudulent activity without delay.

Jio Platforms Ltd’s much-awaited initial public offering (IPO) has opened with a massive response from investors, setting a new benchmark for demand among large Indian IPOs. The Rs 30,230-crore public issue received bids worth approximately Rs 95,500 crore on the first day, making it the highest bid value recorded for an Indian IPO exceeding Rs 15,000 crore.

According to stock exchange data, investors bid for 62.3 crore shares against the 19.75 crore shares offered, taking the IPO subscription to 3.1 times on Day 1. Including the Rs 2.5 lakh crore raised through the anchor investor portion, the total demand has reportedly reached around Rs 3.45 lakh crore.

Jio IPO Beats Hyundai Motor India in Investor Demand

With its impressive opening-day response, the Jio Platforms IPO has already surpassed Hyundai Motor India’s Rs 27,859-crore public issue. Hyundai’s IPO attracted bids worth approximately Rs 66,000 crore during its three-day subscription period in October 2024. Jio Platforms has therefore established a new benchmark for investor demand in the large-issue category, even before its subscription window closes.

QIBs Lead the Subscription Race

Institutional investors have emerged as the biggest contributors to the demand for Jio Platforms shares. The portion reserved for qualified institutional buyers (QIBs) was subscribed 9.4 times on the first day, with bids for 46.1 crore shares against the 4.9 crore shares available in this category.

The strong institutional response highlights the significant interest surrounding the telecom and digital services giant’s public offering.

LG Electronics India Still Holds the Overall Record

Despite the extraordinary demand, Jio Platforms has not yet broken the record for the highest overall bid value among Indian IPOs. LG Electronics India’s Rs 11,607-crore IPO attracted bids worth approximately Rs 6.2 lakh crore after being subscribed 54 times.

However, Jio Platforms still has two more days of subscription remaining, leaving room for demand to rise further.

Jio IPO: Subscription Closing Date and Listing

The Jio Platforms IPO subscription is scheduled to close on October 23, while its stock market listing is expected on October 28. With such a strong opening-day response, all eyes are now on the remaining subscription period to see whether the issue can set further records.

The key question is whether Jio Platforms can convert its massive opening demand into one of the most remarkable IPO subscription stories in the Indian stock market.

The teaser hints at a series of comic situations arising from his desperate attempt to overcome his circumstances.

With a promising combination of crime and comedy, the film aims to continue Mouli’s successful run following Little Hearts.
