Sundeep Kishan is gearing up for one of the most ambitious projects of his career with Karikaala, a pan-India socio-fantasy film set in a mythical world filled with powerful warriors, ancient mysteries, and grand adventures. The film officially began its journey with a traditional pooja ceremony, marking the start of a project planned on a massive scale.
Produced by Mahidhar Reddy and Rajashekhar Annabhimoju under the Shining Pictures banner, Karikaala is directed by Ugandhar Muni, who previously helmed Shambhala. The filmmaker is now exploring a much larger cinematic canvas, blending mythology, fantasy, adventure, and social elements into an expansive narrative.
The makers have already generated interest with the film’s title announcement and first-look poster. Sundeep Kishan appears in a fierce warrior avatar, hinting at a character connected to an ancient world filled with secrets and challenges. The striking look has raised expectations for the film’s visual scale and fantasy elements.
Catherine Tresa, Sakkshi Mhadolkar, and Gayatri Bhardwaj have been cast as the female leads. Sricharan Pakala is composing the music, while details about the remaining cast and technical crew are expected to be announced later.
The biggest highlight is the makers’ plan to release Karikaala in two chapters within the same year. Chapter 1 is scheduled to hit worldwide theatres on July 2, 2027, followed by Chapter 2 on October 28, 2027. With just a few months between the releases, the team aims to present the story as an interconnected cinematic experience.
Being made in Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi, Karikaala is targeting audiences across multiple markets. With its mythical setting, warrior-driven story, and two-part release strategy, the film is shaping up to be a major addition to Sundeep Kishan’s filmography.
