Irumudi Box Office: Ravi Teja Creates Career-Best Record With Rs 70 Crore Weekend

Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja is back in the big league! After a series of underwhelming films, Irumudi has delivered a sensational comeback for the actor, emerging as a massive blockbuster right in its opening weekend.

The collaboration between Ravi Teja and director Shiva Nirvana initially generated curiosity rather than huge expectations. Shiva Nirvana, known primarily for his romance-driven entertainers, joining hands with Ravi Teja, who is synonymous with mass-action films, appeared to be an unusual combination. However, both the actor and director stepped out of their comfort zones and the result has clicked big time with audiences.

Irumudi has put up impressive numbers across all territories, registering a strong run throughout its first three days. The film recorded its biggest day on Sunday in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, reportedly grossing around Rs 21 crore on Day 3.

The film has also created a major milestone for Ravi Teja overseas. Irumudi crossed the $1 million mark in North America, making it the first film in Ravi Teja’s career to achieve this feat. The movie’s overall overseas gross is estimated to be around Rs 12 crore during its opening weekend.

With a worldwide gross of approximately Rs 70 crore in just three days, Irumudi has delivered the biggest opening weekend of Ravi Teja’s career. None of his previous films had managed to reach this milestone within the first three days of release.

The strong word of mouth and growing collections have now put the film on track to enter the Rs 100 crore worldwide gross club soon. More importantly, the success proves that Ravi Teja can still deliver massive numbers when backed by strong content and the right storytelling.

Produced by Mythri Movie Makers, Irumudi stars Priya Bhavani Shankar and Baby Nakshtra in key roles, while GV Prakash Kumar has composed the music.

With collections continuing to remain strong, Irumudi is shaping up to be one of the biggest comeback hits in Ravi Teja’s recent career.
