Actor Priyadarshi has officially commenced work on his next lead project, Idupu Kayitham, a rural drama deeply rooted in Telangana culture and relationships. The film was formally launched in Hyderabad with a grand pooja ceremony attended by the cast, crew, and several notable personalities from the film industry.
Adding star power to the occasion were acclaimed filmmakers Sukumar and Lokesh Kanagaraj, who attended the launch event as special guests. Their presence brought additional excitement and visibility to the project, with both directors extending their best wishes to the team.
Following the success of critically acclaimed films such as Balagam and Court, Priyadarshi continues his journey as a bankable lead actor with Idupu Kayitham. The film pairs him with Naga Durga, who rose to fame through her widely popular YouTube videos.
The title Idupu Kayitham, which translates to “divorce papers,” hints at a story set against the backdrop of rural Telangana. The film is being directed by newcomer Vamsy Reddy Dondapati, while producer Bunny Vas is backing the project. Renowned filmmaker Sukumar is presenting the film under his prestigious Sukumar Writings banner.
The first-look poster offers an intriguing glimpse into the story. It features Priyadarshi riding a motorcycle with Naga Durga seated behind him, while a bag of traditional Sakinalu is tied to the vehicle. The visual suggests that the couple is returning to Hyderabad after celebrating the Sankranthi festival in their native village, hinting at a narrative filled with emotion, tradition, and rural charm.
