The hundi collections of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams have reached a remarkable ₹1,420 crore in the 2025–26 financial year, reflecting the unwavering devotion of millions of devotees towards Lord Venkateswara, widely revered as the “Kaliyuga Daivam.”
This marks a significant increase of ₹75 crore compared to the previous financial year, highlighting a steady growth in offerings post-pandemic. On average, the temple is now consistently receiving over ₹100 crore per month, setting a new benchmark for hundi income.
Monthly Trends Reflect Devotee Footfall
A closer look at the yearly data shows how seasonal trends influence temple income. July 2025 recorded the highest collections at ₹130 crore, driven by increased pilgrim visits during the post-summer and early monsoon period. In contrast, February 2026 saw the lowest collections at ₹106 crore, likely due to exam season and fewer major festivals.
Despite this dip, even the lowest monthly income crossing ₹100 crore underscores the constant flow of devotees to Tirumala.
Digital Initiatives Boost Pilgrim Visits
The rise in revenue is also attributed to TTD’s digital initiatives, including online services, reservation systems, and simplified darshan procedures. These measures have made it easier for devotees to plan their visits, significantly increasing footfall.
More Than Just Donations
The hundi contributions are not merely symbolic offerings of faith. They serve as a vital source of funding for TTD’s wide range of activities, including:
Free meal services (Annadanam)
Educational institutions
Healthcare facilities such as BIRRD Hospital
Promotion of Hindu dharma
Faith Continues to Grow
The steady rise in income reflects the deep-rooted devotion among devotees, who continue to offer a portion of their earnings regardless of their financial status. With chants of “Govinda” echoing through the hills of Tirumala, the temple remains a vibrant center of faith and spirituality.
