OG Creates Historic Box Office Records
Released on September 25, 2025, OG has set new benchmarks at the box office. The gangster action drama registered ₹98 crore in pre-sales, including Rs 20.25 crore from paid previews. Within just its first day, the film grossed Rs 90 crore in India and an extraordinary Rs 150 crore worldwide. Opening day collections stood at Rs 70.75 crore across all languages, with Rs 70 crore coming from the Telugu version alone.
Trade analysts report that OG recorded 69.35% average occupancy in Telugu states, far higher than its Tamil, Hindi, and Kannada versions. This proves the unshakable pull of Powerstar Pawan Kalyan at the box office.
A Stylish Gangster Drama
Directed by Sujeeth, OG is set in the 1990s Mumbai underworld. The film follows Ojas Gambheera (Pawan Kalyan), a feared gangster who comes out of exile when a deadly gang war erupts. Trouble begins when Satya Dada’s (Prakash Raj) port is attacked by Mirajkar (Tej Sapru) and his son Jimmy (Sudhev Nair). The entry of the mysterious Omi Bhau (Emraan Hashmi) and a container filled with explosives sparks a chain of violent events, forcing OG to return and settle scores.
With stylish direction, high-octane action, and Emraan Hashmi’s powerful Telugu debut, the film continues to dominate theatres with glowing reviews and strong word of mouth. Fans and family alike are keeping the OG mania alive, making it one of the biggest cinematic events of 2025.
