Ananya Nagalla has said that the recent incident involving a female journo and herself has bothered her a lot. The journo in question recently said that sexual favours are quite routinely provided by female actors in the industry, without which they wouldn’t land film offers.
“I entered the industry after so much resistance (from family). It’s only lately that my mother is feeling proud of my cinematic choices. At a time like this, it’s saddening that someone asked me that question. My brother was very much there at the event. Today, when he is getting married, my mother is concerned that she might face embarrassing, probing questions from my relatives,” Ananya said.
Ananya awaits the release of ‘Pottel’ on October 25th. Also starring Ajay and Noel Sean, the film has her in the role of a villager. Ananya is also known for ‘Vakeel Saab’ and ‘Mallesham’.
In a related piece of news, the female journo has been asked to come up with an explanation for casting aspersions about actresses in the Telugu film industry.
