‘Indian 2’ started streaming on Netflix in multiple languages this Friday (August 9th). Those who were fortunate to miss the cringe-fest in theatres are having to suffer it on OTT.
And they are flabbergasted by what director Shankar has done to Kamal Haasan, what Anirudh Ravichander has dished out in the name of music, and Lyca Productions’ idea of grandeur.
The scene where a male villain behaves like a woman after the vigilante hero attacks him has been dubbed abominable by Netizens. “Indian thatha beats the villain guy and he acts all feminine and somehow loses his masculinity or god knows what. Even if you make a spoof of Indian, you can’t outdo this abomination that’s ‘Indian 2’,” wrote an X user.
Anirudh is believed to have given unused/rejected tunes to the film. “Remember when Anirudh Ravichander said he has a folder of compositions which has been rejected during the process and used it randomly later on other films? This is what he meant,” a Twitter user wrote.
