Yash’s Toxic Teaser Sparks Controversy; Karnataka Women’s Commission Raises Objections

While social media is already buzzing with discussions around the teaser of Toxic, the film starring Yash after the massive success of KGF, the movie has now landed in controversy. The Karnataka State Women’s Commission has expressed strong objections to certain content shown in the teaser, giving the makers an unexpected shock.

Directed by Geethu Mohandas, the Toxic teaser reportedly features a bold and intimate scene that did not go down well with the Women’s Commission. Objecting to what they termed as obscenity, the Commission has written a letter to the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), urging strict action against the teaser. They have also demanded that the teaser be removed immediately.

The Commission questioned how such a bold scene was included, especially when the film is directed by a woman filmmaker like Geethu Mohandas. This reaction came right after the teaser’s release, adding fuel to the ongoing debate surrounding the film.

However, Yash’s fans seem unfazed by the controversy and are thoroughly enjoying the teaser. They argue that heroism can be portrayed in many ways, and this film presents it through a bold and unconventional approach. Now, all eyes are on the response from the censor board regarding the complaint filed by the Women’s Commission.

Interestingly, the controversy has only amplified the buzz around the film. The fact that the teaser itself has triggered such widespread discussion suggests that Yash might once again be gearing up for a blockbuster that could match or even surpass the craze of KGF.

Toxic is scheduled for a worldwide release on March 19. Produced by KVN Productions on a grand scale, the film has been made with a massive budget. The teaser has successfully created huge anticipation, and expectations are naturally sky-high as this is Yash’s first film after KGF.

Director Geethu Mohandas has clearly succeeded in raising curiosity and expectations with just the teaser. With Toxic entering the March box-office race, the film has had a powerful start even before its release.

Although primarily a Kannada film, Toxic is being positioned as a pan-India project and will also release internationally, including an English version for global audiences. Given the immense buzz surrounding the film, even meeting the current expectations could place Toxic at the next level altogether.

Now, it remains to be seen what kind of sensation Toxic will create upon its release.
