Superstar Yash, who rose to global fame with KGF 2, now works on his next ambitious project, Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-ups. Award-winning filmmaker Geetu Mohandas directs the film, which shapes up as one of the boldest projects in Indian cinema. The latest update created huge buzz, the team launched a grueling 45-day action schedule in Mumbai with Hollywood stunt legend JJ Perry, known for John Wick and Fast & Furious, leading it.

45 Days of Non-Stop Action

Unlike most action films where crews shoot in breaks, Toxic attempts something rare. The team films a major action block for 45 continuous days. They designed the sequence through storyboarding, rehearsals, and technical planning for months. Yash appears in a fresh look for this stretch, and insiders confirm the makers feel thrilled with the results.

JJ Perry Praises Indian Stunt Crew

This schedule became even more special because JJ Perry chose to work only with an Indian stunt team. In his 35-year career across 39 countries, he never saw such precision and dedication before. Calling the Indian crew “world-class,” he said, “This team pushes boundaries with me, and that’s what filmmaking is all about.”

Perry praised Geetu Mohandas and Venkat K Narayana, saying the collaboration marks one of the highlights of his career. He explained that Indian cinema’s creative boldness inspired him. He aims to blend Indian storytelling with Hollywood-style action and create something unique.

A Star-Studded Global Production

Toxic delivers more than spectacle. The film sets out to define a new grammar of action in Indian cinema while holding a strong emotional core. The star-studded cast includes Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Tara Sutaria, Huma Qureshi, Rukmini Vasanth, Akshay Oberoi, and Tovino Thomas. Renowned cinematographer Rajeev Ravi handles the visuals, while Anirudh Ravichander composes the music.

The makers shoot the movie in Kannada and English simultaneously and plan dubbed versions in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam. KVN Productions and Yash’s Monster Mind Creations bankroll the project. The film will hit theaters worldwide on March 19, 2026.

With Yash’s stardom, Geetu Mohandas’s vision, and JJ Perry’s mastery, Toxic positions itself as a game-changer in Indian action cinema.
