War 2, the much-awaited spy thriller in YRF’s Spy Universe, will conclude its shoot with a grand dance showdown between Hrithik Roshan and Jr. NTR. The team will film this high-voltage number in June at Yash Raj Studios. The crew had initially planned the shoot for March, but Hrithik’s leg injury during rehearsals forced them to delay it. Now that Hrithik has fully recovered, the production team has locked in the new schedule.
Team Wraps Up 18 Months of Intensive Filming
Director Ayan Mukerji has led the team through an ambitious 18-month shoot, which now enters its final leg. The crew already completed the action-heavy climax, and this song shoot will serve as the grand finale before they move into full-scale post-production. Ayan has taken over the reins of the franchise from Siddharth Anand, bringing his signature visual flair to the table.
Massive Song Set, Power Team Behind the Camera
The filmmakers have constructed a luxurious, custom-built set for this song. Amrita Mahal Nakai, known for her visually striking production design, created the backdrop. Bosco Martis will handle choreography, crafting energetic moves tailored to Hrithik and NTR’s styles. Pritam, the film’s music director, has composed a fast-paced, high-impact track that will likely become one of the movie’s standout moments.
Dance Face-Off to Deliver a Unique Climax
The makers decided to end the film not with action, but with an explosive dance battle between two of India’s finest dancer-actors. Hrithik and NTR both bring incredible screen presence, rhythm, and physicality to their performances. Their dance duel promises to offer fans a never-before-seen cinematic experience that blends skill, emotion, and spectacle.
War 2’s Role in the Expanding Spy Universe
War 2 serves as the sixth installment in YRF’s Spy Universe after Ek Tha Tiger, Tiger Zinda Hai, War, Pathaan, and Tiger 3. Hrithik returns as Major Kabir Dhaliwal, while Jr. NTR makes his big Bollywood debut as the film’s lead antagonist. Kiara Advani also plays a major role in the movie.
Theatrical Release Set for Independence Day Weekend
The makers have scheduled the film’s release for August 14, just in time for the Independence Day holiday. Post-production work is already underway under Ayan’s direct supervision. The team aims to deliver a film packed with high-octane action, deep emotion, and a show-stopping dance sequence to round it off.
