Megastar Chiranjeevi’s socio-fantasy film Vishwambhara is once again in the spotlight. The makers officially teased a “Mega Blast Announcement” today, August 21, at 9:09 AM. This announcement has raised excitement among fans, especially since Chiranjeevi’s birthday is tomorrow, August 22.

The film’s team, backed by UV Creations, shared a striking poster yesterday that promised an important update. Chiranjeevi himself posted, “An important update about #Vishwambhara will be out tomorrow at 09:09 AM.” This statement immediately fueled speculations. Many fans believe that a new teaser could be revealed tomorrow as a birthday treat. Others expect the team to lock the release date.

Release Timeline: 2025 or 2026?

When Vishwambhara was announced, the makers first planned to release it on January 10, 2025. However, that schedule is no longer possible. Director Vassishta Mallidi, who earlier delivered the hit Bimbisara, recently joined an X Space interaction and confirmed that the movie will not release in 2025. Instead, the team is targeting a summer 2026 release. This update came as a surprise to many fans, who were expecting the movie much earlier.

What Makes Vishwambhara Special

Vishwambhara is designed as a grand socio-fantasy entertainer. The film carries massive expectations, though the earlier teaser faced criticism due to its weak VFX quality. Despite this, the makers promise to deliver a visual spectacle with improved effects, which explains the extended production timeline.

The movie stars Trisha Krishnan as the female lead, while Ashika Ranganath plays a key supporting role. Kunal Kapoor is set to appear as the antagonist. The cast also includes Ramya Pasupuleti, Esha Chawla, and Ashrita Vemuganti Nanduri, while Mouni Roy performs a special song. Legendary composer MM Keeravaani is providing the music score.

Wider Release Plans

Unlike many regional releases, Vishwambhara will hit theatres across India. Along with the Telugu original, the film will also release in Hindi and Tamil, giving it a pan-Indian scale.
