Vishwambhara, the upcoming film directed by Mallidi Vassishta, continues to make waves with a fresh update from the sets. The team recently completed the final schedule, where Megastar Chiranjeevi shot a special song alongside Mouni Roy. This moment marks a major milestone in the film’s progress. After facing criticism for its early visuals, the makers at UV Creations revamped and upgraded the VFX. With over 4,600 VFX shots, the team now promises that Vishwambhara will deliver visuals that match global standards.
A Fantasy Rooted in Indian Mythology
Director Vassishta took inspiration from Indian puranas and classic Telugu cinema, not Western fantasy. He explained that the winged horse in the film doesn’t come from Hollywood’s Pegasus but belongs to Indian folklore. He gave examples like Mahabaludu (1969), which featured a Hulk-like character years before Marvel, and Sabash Satyam (1969), which showcased an invisible man long before Hollowman (2000). He also reminded fans that Indian cinema had flying broomsticks in films much earlier than Harry Potter.
Designed for the Child in Every Viewer
Vassishta created Vishwambhara mainly for children and young viewers who grew up listening to magical tales. He imagined a world where horses fly, squirrels grow two tails, and mythical creatures appear alive on screen. He aims to turn those childhood fantasies into a big-screen reality while keeping the story rooted in Indian tradition.
Makers Improve Visuals After Fan Feedback
Nine months ago, fans criticized the teaser for its outdated graphics. The team took this feedback seriously and worked hard for months to upgrade the film’s visual effects. They now focus heavily on cutting-edge CGI to offer a visually rich and immersive experience that blends mythology with modern technology.
Star Cast and Creative Power
The film stars Trisha Krishnan, Aashika Ranganath, and Kunal Kapoor alongside Chiranjeevi. Producers V Vamsi Krishna Reddy, Pramod Uppalapati, and Vikram Reddy are backing the project under UV Creations. Chota K Naidu leads the cinematography, and AS Kumar handles the production design. Together, they craft a magical world that both children and adults can enjoy.
A Celebration of India’s Cinematic Legacy
Vishwambhara stands out as more than just a fantasy film. Vassishta pays tribute to Indian storytelling and reminds viewers of how Indian cinema has often led the way in creativity. With upgraded visuals, a strong cast, and deep mythological roots, this film promises to deliver a magical experience for children and fantasy fans. While the team hasn’t yet announced the release date, excitement around Vishwambhara continues to grow. Audiences can look forward to one of the most ambitious mythological fantasy adventures in Indian cinema.
