Vijay Sai Reddy Explains Why Jagan May Not Return as CM

Former YSR Congress Party MP Vijay Sai Reddy has said that YS Jagan Mohan Reddy’s chances of returning as Chief Minister remain bleak unless there is a major shift in how the party functions. He asserted that relying on a close-knit inner circle has weakened the party and distanced it from ground realities.

Speaking to the media after being questioned in the liquor scam case, Sai Reddy remarked that even a fresh padayatra would not help Jagan reclaim power unless the party adopts a more structured and strategic political approach. According to him, decision-making concentrated in the hands of a few advisers has caused significant damage.

Since distancing himself from the YCP, Vijay Sai Reddy has repeatedly alleged that a powerful coterie controls access to Jagan and influences crucial decisions. He has earlier warned party leaders that staying silent or depending on this inner circle could eventually jeopardize their own political futures.

Sai Reddy further claimed that while this group reaped political benefits, legal and political burdens were shifted onto others. His remarks underline deep frustration and a sense of betrayal, particularly considering his long association with Jagan as one of his most trusted aides in the past.
