Actor Vijay Deverakonda has spoken candidly about the organised negative campaigns he believes have been targeting his films since the release of Dear Comrade. He revealed that he sensed these attacks early on, but his concerns were initially dismissed by many. It was only later, when other filmmakers encountered similar experiences, that his observations began to resonate.
Vijay shared that several directors and producers who collaborated with him eventually realised how systematic and damaging such campaigns can be. He admitted that the issue took a personal toll, with many sleepless nights spent trying to understand who was behind these attacks and the motives driving them.
Emphasising that the problem goes beyond his individual journey, Vijay said the larger concern is about safeguarding cinema itself. He stressed the need to curb such negativity to ensure a healthier, fairer environment for future actors and filmmakers to create and thrive.
