Director Buchi Babu Sana has made a sensational statement about Vijay Deverakonda’s stardom at the grand pre-release event of Ranabaali. Comparing Vijay’s star image with that of Powerstar Pawan Kalyan, the director’s comments grabbed everyone’s attention and triggered discussions among fans on social media.
Speaking at the event, Buchi Babu Sana recalled an interesting incident that took place during the shooting of Geetha Govindam at a private college in Hyderabad. He revealed that an assistant director who worked on both Geetha Govindam and his film Uppena had shared the incident with him. According to the director, the college management had to lock classroom doors because female students were so excited to see Vijay Deverakonda, especially after the release of Arjun Reddy.
Emphasising Vijay’s star power, Buchi Babu Sana said, “A star is always a star, no matter what. Vijay Deverakonda is a star. He has Kalyan garu range star image.” His comparison with Pawan Kalyan drew loud cheers from the audience, making it one of the most talked-about moments of the Ranabaali pre-release event.
