VD14 Titled Ranabaali: Vijay Deverakonda’s Period Action Drama Gets Release Date

Vijay Deverakonda’s much-anticipated 14th film has been officially titled Ranabaali. The makers revealed the title along with a striking glimpse today, keeping their promise to fans. Reuniting with director Rahul Sankrityan after Taxiwala, the actor steps into a gripping period action drama set in pre-Independence India.

Ranabaali is inspired by a lesser-known chapter of history and revolves around a brutal genocide that claimed the lives of lakhs of Indians during British rule. The glimpse hints at an intense narrative driven by courage, rebellion, and revolution.

Vijay Deverakonda will be seen in a never-before-seen avatar as a fierce rebel who dares to rise against the British Empire. Rashmika Mandanna plays the female lead, while international actor Arnold Vosloo, popular for his role as the antagonist in The Mummy franchise, essays the role of British officer Sir Theodore Hector.

Describing the film as a story that history forgot, the makers call Ranabaali a hidden truth that deserves to be brought to light. Backed by Mythri Movie Makers on a grand scale, the film features music composed by the acclaimed duo Ajay–Atul.

Ranabaali is slated for a theatrical release on September 11, 2026.
