Unni Mukundan, film Marco, Haneef Adeni, Malayalam Movie, OTT release

Unni Mukundan’s latest Malayalam-language film, Marco, directed by Haneef Adeni, is enjoying a remarkable run in theatres across India. The film has emerged as the most successful Hindi-dubbed Malayalam film at the box office, earning widespread acclaim.

Despite its ongoing success in theatres, rumors about its OTT release have been circulating. However, the makers have firmly denied these claims, stating that no deals have been made with any streaming platforms.

No OTT Deal for Marco Yet

Speculations suggested that Marco would soon arrive on an OTT platform, but the filmmakers have clarified the situation. In an official statement, they emphasized that the film remains unsold to any OTT service and any such news is misleading.

Their statement reads:

“We wish to address recent rumors about Marco’s OTT release. As of now, we have not signed or confirmed any agreements with OTT platforms. All claims suggesting otherwise are false.

Marco was created for a cinematic experience, and we are thrilled to see audiences enjoying it in theatres. The film is still running successfully on the big screen. We encourage everyone to watch it in theatres to fully appreciate its visuals, sound design, and intensity.

If and when any decisions about an OTT release are finalized, we will announce them through our verified channels. Until then, please avoid spreading or believing fake news. Thank you for supporting Marco and helping it become a huge success.”

Box Office Success of Marco

The film’s strong word-of-mouth has propelled its success beyond Kerala. Its Hindi-dubbed version has grossed over ₹9 crore, surpassing the Hindi-dubbed collections of films like Dulquer Salmaan’s Sita Ramam and Prithviraj’s Aadujeevitham (The Goat Life).

Marco continues to draw large audiences, showcasing its universal appeal and gripping storytelling.
