Nani’s The Paradise is making strong noise at the box office despite mixed-to-negative reactions online. The Srikanth Odela directorial has delivered a massive first weekend, collecting around Rs 138 crore worldwide in just four days and registering the biggest weekend of Nani’s career.
The film witnessed a noticeable drop on its second day after its release, but it quickly picked up momentum and maintained a strong pace over the following days. Despite heavy trolling and negative chatter on social media, The Paradise has managed to hold its ground at the box office.
Released in India on September 23, The Paradise opened to largely negative reactions on social media, while reviews were mixed to negative. However, the response did not prevent the film from recording the biggest opening day of Nani’s career.
According to the latest trade figures, The Paradise has collected around Rs 109 crore gross in India across Telugu, Hindi and other languages. The overseas market has contributed more than Rs 29 crore, taking the film’s worldwide gross to approximately Rs 138 crore in four days.
The Nani and Kayadu Lohar starrer has also performed strongly in North America, crossing the $2 million mark during its first weekend. The film is directed by Srikanth Odela and produced by Sudhakar Cherukuri.
With its latest collections, The Paradise has already surpassed the lifetime grosses of several of Nani’s previous films and has emerged as the highest-grossing film of his career so far.
The crucial question now is how strongly The Paradise can sustain its momentum during the coming weekdays. For now, the film’s box-office performance has remained strong despite the negative chatter surrounding its release, giving Nani another major career milestone.
