Tharun Bhascker’s Om Shanti Shanti Shantihi Trailer Tackles Domestic Violence with Humor

Director-actor Tharun Bhascker takes center stage in the upcoming Telugu romantic comedy Om Shanti Shanti Shantihi, the official remake of the Malayalam blockbuster Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey (2022). The film features Eesha Rebba as the female lead.

Marking the directorial debut of A. R. Sajeev, the trailer of Om Shanti Shanti Shantihi was unveiled today and promises an engaging entertainer that blends humor with a sensitive take on domestic violence. Tharun Bhascker plays Ambati Omkar Naidu, a fishery owner whose marriage to Kondaveeti Prashanthi (Eesha Rebba) forms the crux of the story.

Initially, Prashanthi believes Ambati to be a progressive and supportive partner. However, his true nature soon emerges as he turns controlling and abusive. While she endures the situation in silence at first, Prashanthi eventually finds the strength to stand up for herself, asserting her independence with courage and self-belief.

Veteran actors Rohini and Brahmaji appear in key roles, adding depth to the narrative. The film’s music is composed by Jay Krish. Om Shanti Shanti Shantihi is produced by Srujan Yarabolu under the S Originals banner, in association with Movie Verse Studios.

The film is scheduled for a theatrical release on January 30, 2026.
