Actor Vikram is currently in Hyderabad to promote ‘Thangalaan’, which is scheduled to arrive at the cinemas on August 15th. At the film’s pre-release event, the ‘Aparichitudu’ actor acknowledged the “energy and enthusiasm of the Telugu cinephiles” who have always showered “continuous support and encouragement” on him.
The versatile actor further added, “I portrayed Aditya Karikalan in ‘Ponniyin Selvan’, a story set a thousand years ago, and received your love. ‘Thangalaan’ is set a hundred years ago.” Parvathy Thiruvothu and Malavika Mohanan have prominent roles. He was particularly appreciative of Parvathy’s dedication.
The ‘I’ and ‘Sketch’ actor described director Pa.Ranjith of ‘Kabali’ fame as his dream director. While the film’s trailer says a lot, there are several aspects that have been concealed from the audience. They will come as a surprise to the audience when the movie releases. “This film contains adventure, a message, magic, and emotions. I believe this is the best role I have had,” Vikram added.
He lauded producer Gnanavel Raja of Studio Green for bankrolling ‘Thangalaan’ for the pan-Indian audience.
