Prabhas’ upcoming horror-comedy film, The Raja Saab, is shaping up to be a massive pan-India release. Directed by Maruthi, the film was initially scheduled to hit theaters on April 10, 2025, but due to pending post-production work, it has been delayed. The latest buzz suggests that the makers are now aiming for a mid-August 2025 release, with plans to launch the film in multiple languages, including Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi. An official announcement is expected soon.
Fresh Music for a Bigger Impact
The film’s music composer, Thaman S, recently revealed that he has scrapped the original songs composed for the film. He felt they had lost their freshness since they were made a while ago but hadn’t been shot yet. To ensure the soundtrack matches the scale of the project, Thaman and his team are now re-composing all the songs. Given that audio labels have invested around Rs 30-40 crores in the film, Thaman considers it his responsibility to deliver top-quality music.
The film’s soundtrack will include a variety of songs, including a world theme song, a duet, an introduction song, and a special number featuring the three lead actresses in the second half. Thaman assured fans that the music will have a “wow factor,” with mass beats designed to thrill Prabhas’ fans. Interestingly, the film will also have a special Japanese version of one song, reflecting the growing popularity of South Indian films in Japan.
Star-Studded Cast and Crew
Apart from Prabhas in the lead role, the film boasts a strong cast, including Sanjay Dutt, Nidhhi Agerwal, Malavika Mohanan, and Riddhi Kumar in key roles. The legendary Brahmanandam will also be seen in an important character, adding a comic touch to the film.
The cinematography is handled by Karthik Palani, while Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao is in charge of editing. The film is being produced by TG Vishwa Prasad under the People Media Factory banner.
Massive Global Appeal
In a strategic move, the filmmakers are planning an audio launch in Japan, highlighting the rising international demand for South Indian films. This event is expected to draw significant attention, further boosting the film’s global reach.
With Prabhas’ star power, a talented cast, and Thaman’s revamped music, The Raja Saab is shaping up to be a highly anticipated release, promising a perfect mix of horror, comedy, and entertainment.
