Thalapathy Vijay Mobbed by Fans at Chennai Airport, Escapes Unhurt

Tamil superstar Thalapathy Vijay, one of the biggest icons in South Indian cinema, found himself in a frightening situation at the Chennai Airport recently. The actor, whose farewell film Jana Nayagan is set for release on January 9, had just returned from Malaysia after attending a grand promotional event.

As Vijay arrived in Chennai, an overwhelming crowd of fans gathered at the airport to welcome him. The situation quickly turned chaotic, with fans surging forward despite security presence. In the midst of the uncontrollable pushing and pulling, Vijay reportedly lost his balance, tripped, and fell near his car—an incident that was caught on video and has since gone viral.

The sheer volume of the crowd made it difficult for security personnel to manage the situation effectively. Although the visuals were alarming, Vijay was fortunate to escape without sustaining any major injuries.

However, the incident has raised serious concerns about crowd management and security arrangements for high-profile celebrities. In recent times, actresses Samantha and Nidhii Agerwal have also faced similar distressing situations due to unruly crowds at public events.
