Tollywood director-turned-actor Tarun Bhascker recently became the talk of social media after a video of him angrily confronting a cameraman at an airport went viral. According to Tarun Bhascker, the viral video was not a real argument at all. It was a planned promotional activity for his upcoming film Gaayapadda Simham, in which he plays the lead role. He clarified that the scene was deliberately staged as part of the film’s promotions.

The teaser of Gaayapadda Simham was released recently, and it hints that the film revolves around a young man who dreams of going to the United States and the struggles he faces in that journey. To creatively convey this concept to the audience, the team decided to design a realistic promotional stunt.

Tarun Bhascker explained that, on the suggestion of director Kasyap Sreenivas, they planned a live promotional activity at the airport itself. The idea was to recreate a situation where he appears frustrated after missing a flight and walks out angrily. As part of this act, a scene was shot where he seems upset with a cameraman the same clip that later went viral on social media.

Tarun Bhascker said this reaction proved how well the promotion worked. He added that they shot the video, moved away, and later returned to the same spot to complete the shoot.
