Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Ramayana is being planned as a two-part cinematic saga. Part 1 is set to release during Diwali 2026, with the second part scheduled for Diwali 2027. The latest BTS video offers audiences a glimpse of what is happening behind the camera as the team brings the iconic story to life.
For Nitesh Tiwari, casting Lord Rama was never going to be an ordinary decision. The character carries a deep emotional connection across generations, making the choice of actor particularly significant. Ranbir also acknowledges the responsibility, revealing that his focus has been on understanding the character and doing justice to the role.
The BTS glimpse also features Arun Govil, Sai Pallavi and Ravi Dubey discussing Ranbir’s portrayal. Arun Govil plays Dashrath, Sai Pallavi takes on the role of Sita, while Ravi Dubey portrays Lakshman. Their observations provide an interesting perspective on Ranbir’s transformation into one of the most iconic characters in Indian mythology.
