Prabhas seems to have changed the release order of his upcoming films. As per the original plan, Hanu Raghavapudi’s Fauji was expected to be the 24th film of Prabhas’s career, followed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Spirit as his landmark 25th film. However, the latest developments suggest that the release strategy has now been changed.
Fauji has been facing delays in production and has already moved out of its December 2026 release slot. With the shooting schedule taking longer than expected, the film’s release date has now been pushed indefinitely. According to reliable sources, Prabhas has decided to bring Spirit to theatres before Fauji.
The shooting of Spirit is reportedly progressing as planned, with Sandeep Reddy Vanga targeting a March or April 2027 release, depending on the completion of the remaining portions. Meanwhile, Fauji still has more than 60 days of shooting left, making a first-half 2027 release difficult. As a result, the Hanu Raghavapudi directorial is now expected to arrive in the second half of 2027.
If the current plans remain unchanged, Spirit will become Prabhas’s next theatrical release, arriving ahead of Fauji. Spirit is said to be a cop drama packed with action, with Prabhas playing an ex-cop who takes on the drug mafia. The film is directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga and produced by Bhadrakali Pictures and T-Series. Fauji, meanwhile, is directed by Hanu Raghavapudi and produced by Mythri Movie Makers.
