Following the memorable success of Lucky Baskhar, director Venky Atluri has teamed up with Kollywood star Suriya for a romantic drama tentatively titled Suriya46. Industry buzz suggests that the makers are considering the title Vishwanathan and Sons for the film.
The project is being bankrolled by producer Naga Vamsi, with Mamitha Baiju playing the female lead. Speaking at the press meet of Funky, Naga Vamsi revealed that Suriya46 will arrive in theatres three to four months after the release of Suriya’s upcoming film Karuppu. The team is keen on maintaining a comfortable gap between the actor’s two releases to maximize their impact at the box office.
Karuppu is expected to hit screens in April 2026, which means Suriya46 is likely to release in July or August 2026.
The shoot is currently in its final leg, with only five working days left to wrap up production. The film revolves around a love story between two individuals with a significant age gap, promising an emotionally engaging narrative.
Veteran actors Radhika Sarathkumar and Raveena Tandon play pivotal roles, while music is composed by G. V. Prakash Kumar.
With production nearing completion and release plans in motion, anticipation around this Suriya–Venky Atluri collaboration continues to grow.
