Music director SS Thaman, known for his chart-topping compositions, recently revealed his commitment to philanthropy. During the press conference for the NTR Trust Euphoria Musical Night, Thaman shared that he donates all his non-film earnings to charity. These include earnings from popular shows like Indian Idol, Celebrity Cricket League (CCL), and musical concerts.

The NTR Trust Euphoria Musical Night is scheduled for February 15, 2025, at the Indira Gandhi Municipal International Stadium in Vijayawada. The event, organized by Thaman in collaboration with the NTR Trust, aims to raise funds for thalassemia patients and support medical camps.
The announcement event was attended by key figures, including NTR Memorial Trust Managing Trustee Nara Bhuvaneswari, CEO Rajendra Kumar, COO Gopi, and Thaman himself.
Thaman expressed his admiration for the trust, stating, “We are proud of the trust established by the great NTR and Chandrababu Naidu. It’s an honor to be part of this event.”
Thaman’s Philanthropy
Thaman disclosed that he dedicates his non-film earnings to social causes. He said, “I earn from movies, but what I make from shows like CCL, Indian Idol, and college events, I give to society. I donate to orphanages, old age homes, or any cause that needs support. God gives us enough to live, and we should share with those who struggle.” He added that events like the Covid-19 pandemic inspired him to focus more on giving back.

During the press meet, Nara Bhuvaneswari praised Thaman’s generosity and referred to him as “Nandamuri Thaman”, a term popularized by her brother, actor-politician Balakrishna. She acknowledged Thaman’s close association with the Nandamuri family through his work on successful films like Akhanda, Veera Simha Reddy, Bhagavant Kesari, and Daaku Maharaj.
