Sree Leela, known for her stunning performances, has received significant offers over the past three years. Despite starring in big projects, like her film with Mahesh Babu and the still-in-production Ustaad Bhagat Singh, she has yet to deliver a massive blockbuster. However, her name remains in high demand, with several filmmakers keen to work with her.
Recently, reports confirmed that Sree Leela was replaced in the upcoming movie Anaganaga Oka Raju. Initially cast opposite Naveen Polishetty, she was replaced by Meenakshi Chaudhary due to scheduling conflicts. Despite her exit, the film is back on track, and its teaser is set to release soon. Dubbed as a “pre-wedding teaser,” it will release today, December 26.
Other Movies Sree Leela Missed
This isn’t the first time Sree Leela has had to step away from major projects. She was previously cast in Varun Dhawan’s Bollywood comedy tentatively titled Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai. However, the role later went to Pooja Hegde. Reports suggest Sree Leela declined a secondary role in the same project, preferring to focus on lead roles.
She also exited VD12, an ambitious spy thriller starring Vijay Deverakonda. Again, scheduling conflicts were cited as the reason for her departure. Despite these missed opportunities, Sree Leela is staying busy with big projects, including Mass Jathara with Raviteja, Robinhood with Nithiin, and SK25.
Naveen Polishetty’s Comeback with Anaganaga Oka Raju
Meanwhile, Naveen Polishetty, who took a break due to a major accident, is gearing up for a strong return. His much-delayed film Anaganaga Oka Raju faced multiple setbacks, including a change in directors and rumors of shelving. However, the makers recently confirmed the project is back on track, with a teaser releasing soon.
Producers Sithara Entertainments, Srikara Studios, and Fortune Four Cinemas aim to release the film next year. With Meenakshi Chaudhary stepping in as the female lead, fans can expect a fun-filled entertainer in 2025.
