Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha is all set to make her Telugu debut with the upcoming pan-India film Jatadhara. On Women’s Day (March 8), the makers revealed her first look, showcasing a powerful and intense avatar. This marks an exciting new chapter in Sonakshi’s career, as she steps into the world of Telugu cinema with a supernatural thriller that blends mythology and action.

The newly released poster presents Sonakshi in a striking and fierce appearance. She is adorned with heavy traditional jewelry, including an elaborate golden headpiece, bangles, and rings. Her dark kohl-lined eyes, bold red bindi, and tilak add to the intensity of her look. With one hand partially covering her face, her long nails and statement rings enhance the mystery surrounding her character. The tagline on the poster describes her as “A Force of Strength and Power.”
Sharing the poster, the film’s team wrote, “This Women’s Day, a beacon of strength and power rises in #Jatadhara! Welcome aboard, #SonakshiSinha.” Fans were thrilled, reacting with fire and heart emojis, while some commented, “She is going to slay in this role.”
About Jatadhara
Directed by Venkat Kalyan, Jatadhara is touted to be a supernatural thriller with a mythological backdrop. The film stars Sudheer Babu in the lead role and is backed by Zee Studios, Prerna Arora, Aruna Agarwal, and Shivin Narang. Umesh KR Bansal is also producing the project, with Akshay Kejriwal and Kussum Arora serving as co-producers.
The film was officially launched with a grand muhurat ceremony in Hyderabad on February 14, attended by key industry figures. Following this, the team moved to Mount Abu, where a massive jungle set has been built at Maukaa Studios to bring the film’s mystical world to life.
Sonakshi Sinha’s Role & Upcoming Projects
It remains unclear whether Sonakshi is the main female lead or playing a key supporting role, but her author-backed character hints at a strong and impactful presence in the film.
Apart from Jatadhara, Sonakshi was last seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar. She is also working on Nikita Roy and the Book of Darkness, which is expected to be announced soon.
