The much-awaited Telugu film Sodara hits theatres tomorrow, April 25, and the buzz around its release has reached a fever pitch. The makers have taken over major media platforms with back-to-back interviews on top channels like HMTV, Suman TV, and iDream Media, creating a wave of excitement.
Starring Sampoornesh Babu and Sanjosh in lead roles, Sodara promises a touching journey built around brotherhood. The tagline, “It’s a Bromantic Story”, hints at a wholesome mix of emotion, humor, and strong family values.
Sampoornesh Babu Breaks His Comedy Shell with a Bold Shift
During his interview with HMTV, Sampoornesh Babu explained how Sodara showcases a completely different side of him. Known for his comic roles, he now plays a responsible and emotionally mature elder brother. Director Mohan Meerampally intentionally cast him in this serious role to reveal a new dimension of his acting.
Speaking to Suman TV, Sampoornesh shared how deeply he connected with the emotional scenes. In one powerful moment, he questions why he wasn’t educated as a child. He said he didn’t use glycerin; instead, he truly lived the moment and cried naturally. He emphasized how this role stands apart from his past work and hopes audiences feel the difference.
iDream Media Interview Highlights the Emotional Core
In his talk with iDream Media, Sampoornesh clarified that film delays—not a career break—kept him away from screens. He said his simple lifestyle remains unchanged and quoted his popular line, “If you want to live like others, it costs more.” He called Sodara a heartfelt family drama, very different from films like Martin Luther King.
Actor Sanjosh, who plays the younger brother, said working with Sampoornesh inspired him. After Bewars (2018), he waited for a meaningful story and chose Sodara for its emotional depth. He credited the film’s songs for their popularity, saying the storyline made them powerful. He also expressed how special it felt to share screen space with Babu Mohan and Baba Bhaskar, who play key roles.
Sodara Promises Strong Emotions and Rich Family Values
The film’s team believes Sodara will deeply connect with family audiences, especially siblings. With Aarti Gupta and Prachi Bansal as the female leads, and Chandra Chaganla producing the film under Cans Entertainment, the movie brings a strong cast and crew together. Cinematographer Jaan and editor Shiva Sarvani have shaped the film’s visuals to match its emotional tone.
Advance bookings are open now, experience the bromantic bond and emotional magic of Sodara in theatres starting April 25.
